When you apply for a job with The Granary or elsewhere in Sunshine Hospitality, SCH Group Ltd (company number 12204695) is the data controller for your application. This notice explains how we handle it.

What we collect. Your CV, covering message and contact details, and anything you share at interview. If we offer you a job, we will also collect references and proof of your right to work in the UK, which the law requires us to check.

Why. To assess your application, contact you about it and, if successful, make you an offer. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a possible employment contract, and our legitimate interest in recruiting the right people. Right-to-work checks are a legal obligation.

Sensitive information. Please don’t include details such as health, religion or ethnicity in your CV. If you tell us about a disability so we can make adjustments for interview, we will use it only for that.

Who sees it. Our managers and people team at The Granary and, where a role suits you better, at other Sunshine Hospitality venues. We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it. If you are not successful, we keep your application only as long as we need it for the recruitment process, unless you agree we can keep it on file for future roles. If you join us, it becomes part of your staff record.

Your rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email people@shgroup.uk. Full details are in our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
